#4111 RUSSET IRON ‘TENGU-MEN’
This elegant mask has smooth cheeks, prominent chin and large, curved detachable nose. There is evidence of a small moustache on either side of the nose. The cheeks are mounted with unusual outsized ‘orekugi’ to prevent the helmet cords from slipping. The interior of the mask is lacquered red. The ‘tare’ (throat guard) is made of five lames of lacquered iron plate, decorated with light brown lacquer on the exterior and black lacquer on the interior.
