18TH Century russet iron ‘ressei men’ with large bulbous nose, broad open mouth, wide, bushy moustache and small goatee. The cheeks, temples, and area around the mouthare embossed with multiple wrinkles. The interior of the mask is lacquered red. The ‘tare’ (throat guard) is made of five lames of black lacquered iron ‘kiritsuke kozane’ (false scales).
