ACC#509 LATE 18TH /EARLY 19TH CENTURY BOXED SET OF TWENTY-SIX ‘SOYA’ ARROWS CONVERTED INTO A TWO PANEL ‘YA-BYOUBU’.

Arrows of this quality, age and condition are extremely rare. Two have nocks of ivory, all are fletched with sea eagle feathers, each bamboo arrow shaft is identically lacquered, with gilded whipping and steel arrow heads. With storage box, this set of arrows has been converted into a two-panel screen to display them to their maximum beauty.

 

Approximate dimensions: Twenty-four arrows measure 88cm

The outer two arrows measure 94cm

Screen measures 105cm high X 124cm wide.
